3) Face-to-Face Interview

Step Three: Face-to-Face Interview

You've passed your Pre-Screen interview? Or are you just curious what the face-to-face interviews entail?

Then you are on the right page!

What is the Face-to-Face Interview?

The Face-to-Face Interview is the final round in the application process for the CRP, held at the Disney Headquarters in Hammersmith, London.

Walt Disney World Recruitment Representatives will have flown over from the USA for this interview to conduct the presentation and the interviews.

Before the Face-to-Face Interview

In between the email saying you have passed your Pre-Screen interview, you will be sent an email by Disney which will advise you on the necessary steps to take before your Face-to-Face interview. This will include registering online to DOC (Disney Onboarding Central) to upload a copy of your Passport and fill in your personal details e.t.c so Disney have a copy of their own.

You'll also be sent a role checklist to complete, stating your preferences/interest for the available roles in addition to an email to schedule your interview time slot for after the presentation (which is first-come-first-served for booking the time slot).

What happens at the Face-to-Face Interview?
Arrival
Upon arrival to Disney HQ you will be escorted to the reception desk to have your photo taken and be given a security pass/lanyard to wear, after which you will be seated next to the Diamante Mickey Mouse (as seen in the photo above) until a security guard opens the glass barrier to allow you up the staircase to the room/corridor area where you will show your passport to Yummy Jobs Representatives and wait to be called into the cinema room for the presentation. I also think it is worth a special mention this room will be filled with Disney Memorabilia and have a TV screen showing the Disney Channel.

The Presentation
The presentation is primarily hosted by three Walt Disney World Recruitment Representatives although staff from Yummy Jobs will be there too. The presentation will begin with a Disney related quiz where like the Pre-Screen Interviews Disney International Program prizes can be won for those lucky people who get selected to answer the questions and get them correct.

The presentation provides a more in depth look at the Cultural Representative Program covering details from housing, the opportunities that are on offer to you on the program and a detailed look into the roles on offer for the Disney CRP.

Also if there are any Disney CRP alumni in the presentation they may also be asked to stand up and provide a mini presentation covering their experiences whilst on the CRP.

The Interview
Depending on your application cohort size you might be interviewed in pairs (if a large recruitment cycle) or individually.

As mentioned previously there are different time slots available for your interview which provides an hour window of when you might have yours (although interviews may over run so don't assume your interview will be exclusively within this time slot).

You will be sat with other interviewees and Yummy Jobs staff in a seating area to one side of the large corridor/room area whilst at the other end of the room one interview will be taking place. This room is rather long so you can't hear what is being said either end, don't worry. The Walt Disney World Recruitment Representatives come over to your waiting area and call out your name when it is time for your interview. If your interview isn't in the same room as the waiting area you will be in a closed off room where two interviews will be taking place.

The Interviewer will have a laptop on the desk which will have all your information up including your application, role checklist and they will have a form they have to fill out from the answers you provide to their questions.

The interview lasts around 10-15 minutes max so it is really short in comparison to the Pre-Screen interviews which lasted around 45 minutes- 1 hour (I think). So make sure you know what you want to say before going in and keep your answers concise (but don't feel restricted though the interviewer will help guide you through the interview). It is also worth having either 1 or 2 questions prepared to ask at the end of your interview. I would advise this for any interview you do though as it shows you are interested in the role/company and that you have thought through what you would like to know or find out if you are successful.
